Former Seoul City Council Chairman Kim In-ho Runs for Dongdaemun-gu Eul District

Former Chairman Kim stated, "In an era of innovation and change, I will make Dongdaemun-gu a success model that everyone desires." Emphasizing his experience as a three-term lawmaker and former Seoul City Council chairman, he is an administrative and policy expert who knows Dongdaemun better than anyone.

Former Seoul City Council Chairman Kim In-ho Runs for Dongdaemun-gu Eul District

Kim In-ho, former chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, officially declared his candidacy for the 22nd National Assembly general election next year, running in Dongdaemun-gu (Eul), and registered as a preliminary candidate.


Former Chairman Kim emphasized that “Dongdaemun is the place where I devoted my youthful dreams and passion,” and explained his reason for running, stating, “I will create a Dongdaemun with innovation and change, a Dongdaemun-gu where everyone wants to live.”


Kim In-ho served as a three-term (8th to 10th) Seoul Metropolitan Council member. He was elected to the 8th Seoul Metropolitan Council, served as chairman of the Finance and Economy Committee, became the youngest vice chairman in the 9th council, and later served as the youngest chairman in the 10th council as well as the 17th chairman of the Korea Association of City and Provincial Councils, working to elevate the status of the Seoul Metropolitan Council.


While active as a Seoul Metropolitan Council member, he was recognized for his significant efforts in improving the educational environment of elementary, middle, and high schools in Dongdaemun-gu, as well as expanding the transportation system in Dongdaemun-gu, including the development of Cheongnyangni Station as a railway hub. He also emphasized his dedication to expanding cultural and sports facilities and improving welfare environments in Dongdaemun-gu, actively addressing the needs and difficulties of local residents.


Kim In-ho said, “For 12 years, I have quietly worked as a Seoul Metropolitan Council member and chairman to develop Dongdaemun,” and added, “Now, I have decided to take a step further to lead a livable and proud Dongdaemun.”


He also stated, “Next year’s general election will be an important turning point that will determine what kind of city Dongdaemun will become,” and urged, “Please support Kim In-ho, who knows Dongdaemun, understands administration, and is familiar with policy.”
