iMarketKorea announced on the 22nd that its subsidiary BTL Logistics (BTL) has recruited Choi Yoon-beom, former CEO of Samsung Electronics Logitek. This move aims to rapidly grow BTL Logistics, an international transportation specialist company acquired last August, into a comprehensive logistics company and strengthen global logistics competitiveness.
CEO Choi Yoon-beom is an expert who has been in charge of management for over 30 years at Samsung Electronics. He gained experience at overseas subsidiaries in Vietnam, the Netherlands, China, and more. He is recognized as an expert in international logistics, having served as CEO of Samsung Electronics Logitek.
BTL Logistics is a comprehensive logistics company operating 8 overseas subsidiaries and numerous domestic and international logistics centers based on international transportation. iMarketKorea incorporated it as a subsidiary last August. The company expects to expand global services by utilizing iMarketKorea’s overseas subsidiary logistics infrastructure in Vietnam, China, the United States, Hungary, and more. It is also expected to demonstrate capabilities in expanding North American logistics infrastructure through a large-scale industrial complex under development in Taylor, Texas.
An iMarketKorea official said, "By recruiting CEO Choi Yoon-beom, we will lead meaningful growth in the global logistics business," adding, "Growth in the logistics service sector is expected to lead to expansion of the industrial materials distribution business and global infrastructure expansion linked to the U.S. industrial cluster."
