Among a total of 86 pledge projects, 74 pledges
5 approved projects with changes in implementation evaluation
Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that it held the 2023 second half regular meeting of the Pledge Evaluation Committee at the county office conference room, with 28 members of the committee gathered to check and evaluate the progress of pledge implementation.
The meeting proceeded by dividing 74 pledge projects, excluding 12 projects (11 completed and 1 abolished) reported at the regular meeting in August, into four subcommittees. Each subcommittee conducted an overview explanation and Q&A session with the heads of the departments responsible for the pledges and related officials to evaluate the pledge implementation status, followed by a plenary session to review and approve changes to the pledge projects.
Hapcheon County is holding the regular general meeting of the Public Pledge Project Evaluation Group for the 8th term of the elected administration.
In the subcommittee meetings composed of Construction, Transportation and Environment; Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry; Culture, Tourism and Sports; and Education, Welfare and Health departments, the Pledge Evaluation Committee assessed that 71 projects, including 6 already completed projects, were being carried out normally among the 74 pledge projects.
Regarding two underperforming projects (Hapcheon Smart Logistics Complex Development Project and Northern Region Golf Course Development), the committee evaluated that a reexamination is necessary, suggesting not to limit efforts to these projects alone but to discover other new growth engine projects.
At the plenary meeting, the committee reviewed and approved all five projects proposed for pledge changes as originally planned. Among them, the Seosan?Wolpyeong connecting road project, linked with the KTX station area comprehensive development, was deemed appropriate to proceed with road construction after reexamining local conditions and traffic volume following the project recognition announcement, and the pledge suspension was approved.
County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol stated, “Since the launch of the 8th elected administration, we have been doing our best to solidify the substance of pledge projects and push forward with the pledges. Since pledges are promises to the residents, we will sincerely carry out the pledge implementation for the happiness of the residents by receiving a frank evaluation and actively collecting opinions through today’s evaluation committee meeting.”
