Police University Alumni Association Awards 30 Million Won in Scholarships to Children of Disabled Police Officers

The Police University Alumni Association announced on the 21st that it has awarded scholarships to the children of police officers who have been injured in the line of duty and are undergoing long-term treatment.


On the same day, the Police University Alumni Association held a scholarship award ceremony at the National Police Agency building in Migeun-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, to honor the dedication and spirit of service of injured police officers. Police officials, including Commissioner Yoon Hee-geun of the National Police Agency, attended the event.

At this event, scholarships of 1 million won each were awarded to 30 children of police officers who have been injured in the line of duty and are undergoing long-term treatment, totaling 30 million won.


This program began in 2017 by supporting 20 recipients with 20 million won, and since 2018, it has expanded to 30 recipients annually, providing a total of 200 million won in scholarships to date.


A representative of the Police University Alumni Association stated, “We express our gratitude for the dedication and sacrifice of injured police officers, and we will continue to unite the alumni’s intentions to sustain social contribution projects and fulfill our social responsibilities.”
