A long-term rental project for agricultural machinery is being launched in Gijang-gun, Busan.
Gijang-gun, Busan (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced on the 21st that the Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center will start the 'Sowing, Transplanting, and Harvesting Integrated Mechanization Project' to reduce labor and improve productivity for farmers.
On the 19th, an agricultural machinery handover ceremony for the main production area integrated mechanization project was held at the Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center.
The 'Main Production Area Integrated Mechanization Project' is a project that rents agricultural machinery necessary for integrated mechanization of farming operations to field crop joint management organizations for five years.
The agricultural machinery available for rent includes 16 units of 15 types, including agricultural tractors (project budget of 200 million KRW). On the 19th, a handover ceremony was held at the Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center with the project executing organization, Gijang Farming Cooperative Corporation, marking the official start of the project.
The Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center expects that this project will not only support the farming operations of joint management members but also assist neighboring farms by providing farming operation services where labor is needed.
Jeong Jong-bok, Governor of Gijang-gun, said, "I hope the long-term rental of agricultural machinery will greatly support the farming activities of local farmers," and added, "We will actively support post-management, including machinery maintenance and training on usage instructions, to ensure that farmers using the machinery do not experience any inconvenience."
