Kang Seon-woo, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, said on the afternoon of the 21st at the National Assembly, "The invitation to the New Year's greeting event was received and reported to the leader, and he accepted it immediately after being informed."
On October 31st, before the budget bill policy speech at the National Assembly, Lee met President Yoon face-to-face during the 'Pre-discussion with the five key figures and ruling and opposition leadership.' It is reported that President Yoon and Lee spoke about livelihood issues at this meeting. At that time, Lee reportedly said, "The livelihood situation is very difficult, so government ministries should pay more attention to these points when implementing policies," according to Kwon Chil-seung, senior spokesperson for the Democratic Party.
It is expected that discussions related to livelihood issues will also take place at this New Year's greeting event.

Lee did not attend the New Year's greeting event held earlier this year.
