Naver announced on the 21st that it will recruit Clip Creators to be active in the first half of next year.

Naver officially launched the short-form service 'Clip' last August. It selects official short-form creators called 'Clip Creators' and supports their creative activities. The Clip Creator categories for the first half of 2024 have been further subdivided compared to before. The categories have expanded to a total of 10: ▲Food & Recipe ▲Hot Places & Travel ▲Outdoor & Sports ▲Fashion & Beauty ▲Knowledge & Culture ▲Music & Dance ▲Pet ▲Home & Lifestyle ▲Entertainment ▲Dating, Marriage & Family. Creators can select up to two categories they consider most relevant to themselves. Selected Clip Creators will be active for five months from February 1 to June 30 next year, uploading 10 short-form contents each month.

Clip Creators for the first half of the year will receive benefits totaling 1.2 billion KRW, including award prizes and basic activity fees. Based on the number of plays by category, monthly plays, and total plays during the entire activity period, excellent creators will be selected through ▲Category Awards ▲Monthly Awards ▲Final Awards. Additionally, a ▲Bonus Award will be given to the creator with the highest monthly increase in subscribers and 'likes' among all creators.

Naver plans to launch 'Clip Editor,' a video editing tool that allows anyone to easily and conveniently create short-form content, in the first quarter of next year. Clip Editor will support functions necessary for short-form production such as video editing, adding text and music, and various filters. It also plans to add features that allow users to move to other Naver services like Naver Shopping and Naver Place. The feature is designed to connect content viewing with real-life experiences such as shopping and reservations.

Lee Jae-hoo, Head of Naver App Service, said, "Since Clip Creators are key to growing the service together, we will expand comprehensive support including education and editing tools necessary for content creation to activate the lifestyle creator community."
