LS Cable & System hires 10 people with developmental disabilities... Establishes an arts troupe for the disabled

LS Cable & System announced on the 21st that it has established an arts troupe for people with disabilities. The purpose is to support the economic and social independence of people with disabilities and to improve social awareness.

The inauguration ceremony held the previous day at LS Tower in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, was attended by about 150 people, including LS Cable & System employees and officials from the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled.

LS Cable & System plans to hire 10 employees with developmental disabilities to support their artistic activities and provide opportunities for growth. Starting with a commemorative concert on the 20th, they will hold performances such as orchestral music and Samulnori centered around LS Cable & System’s business sites.

An LS Cable & System official explained, "The establishment of the arts troupe is meaningful in that it goes beyond providing a workplace for people with disabilities and offers them opportunities to grow as professional artists."

The company plans to continue efforts to improve internal awareness of people with disabilities and foster a culture of sharing and communication, beginning with the establishment of the arts troupe.
