McDonald's announced on the 21st that it will open the 'Yangju Okjeong DT Branch,' the first in Korea to apply the 'Geometric' design concept.
Opening officially on the 22nd, McDonald's Yangju Okjeong DT Branch is located near apartment complexes and large marts, making it easy to attract local residents. It also has the geographical advantage of drawing customers who previously frequented the existing commercial area.
The store spans two floors above ground, approximately 147 pyeong (about 486 square meters), and features a geometric design using linear elements to create a modern and clean atmosphere, offering a fresh and pleasant vibe.
Additionally, the store reflects the headquarters' philosophy of environmental friendliness throughout. Inside the building, eco-friendly certified paints, ceiling materials, and finishes were used, while outside, safety railings made of composite wood containing coffee grounds leftover from McCaf? coffee extraction were installed. Furthermore, standby power cutoff outlets and LED products certified with the Q-Mark were installed to minimize wasted electrical energy in the store.
Efforts to enhance customer convenience are also notable. Yangju Okjeong DT Branch introduced a 'Tandem Drive-Thru (DT)' service that allows two vehicles to use the drive-thru simultaneously, along with a waiting vehicle space where customers can receive their prepared orders from store staff. In addition, the first floor of the store includes gender-separated accessible restrooms and parking spaces for the disabled, enabling more people to visit and use the store easily.
Meanwhile, McDonald's is meeting diverse customers by sequentially opening DT stores in various regions this year, including Incheon Cheongna DT Branch, Yeoju DT Branch, Gyeongsan Jeongpyeong DT Branch, and Jeju Oedo DT Branch.
