According to Jindo Fire Station on the 21st, the two firefighters witnessed the accident scene on their way home and saw a patient trapped inside the damaged vehicle who could not escape. They immediately stopped their vehicle on the shoulder, rescued the patient, controlled traffic to prevent secondary accidents, and cared for the rescued person until the ambulance arrived.

The rescued person was handed over to the Yeonsan Ambulance Team from Mokpo Fire Station that had been dispatched, and the firefighters then left the scene.

Firefighter Yoon Jang-gun said, "Since I usually work in an area where traffic accidents frequently occur, I have always been trained and educated to be prepared for accidents, so I think I was able to respond calmly."

Firefighter Kim Gwan-hoon said, "As a firefighter working for the life and safety of the people, it was a natural action to take, and I am really relieved that we were able to prevent casualties."
