RaonSecure Completes 'Mobile ID Verification System' Project with SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance

RaonSecure has completed the establishment of a mobile ID verification system for SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance, securing the first customer case of a mobile ID verification system in the public finance sector.

IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEO Lee Soon-hyung) announced on the 21st that it has completed the mobile ID verification system construction project for SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance and successfully launched the service.

With the establishment of this mobile ID verification system, SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance's customers can now verify their identity using a mobile driver's license and conduct guarantee insurance-related tasks. When customers visiting SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance or using online services present their mobile driver's license for identity verification, the issuance history of the mobile driver's license is sent to a blockchain platform where the issuance record is stored, and identity verification is conducted by comparing it with the issuance history. Once verified, a copy of the mobile driver's license is generated.

This process eliminates the cumbersome steps of taking out an ID from a wallet and scanning or copying it. Additionally, it prevents unnecessary exposure and leakage of personal information during the verification process.

RaonSecure explained that during the construction of the mobile ID verification system, the project proceeded without delay thanks to a close collaborative system and communication channels operated between RaonSecure and SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance.

In particular, the successful completion of the SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance project is even more meaningful as it marks RaonSecure's first customer case of a mobile ID verification system in the public finance sector. RaonSecure expects that this reference will further enhance the trust of its clients as it continues to carry out financial sector projects in the new year.

Previously, RaonSecure won a project this year to build a mobile ID verification system within the integrated computer savings bank network for member banks under the Korea Federation of Savings Banks. RaonSecure anticipates accelerated business expansion as many secondary financial institutions such as insurance companies, savings banks, and card companies adopt mobile ID verification services.
