Shinil Electronics, Cuckoo Homesys, and Jennifer Room Release New Products One After Another
Mini Size Uses Less Electricity and Enhances Space Utilization
Since mid-December, the strongest cold wave has continued, increasing the demand for heating appliances. Small and medium-sized home appliance companies are focusing on selling high-efficiency products that emphasize ‘affordable heating costs.’
According to the industry on the 21st, Shinil Electronics released the ‘Partition Heater,’ a heating pad designed with a 3-fold folding design. It is designed with a total of five layers, including two layers of knit cotton, carbon film, and flame-retardant protective film, offering high thermal conductivity and heat efficiency. It does not emit smoke, odor, or noise during heating, making it ideal for quiet office spaces or study rooms. To prevent fire, the power automatically shuts off after 6 hours of continuous use or if the heater tips over. The heating cost burden is also relatively low. According to Shinil Electronics, if the partition heater with a power consumption of 145W is used for 8 hours daily, the estimated monthly electricity bill is 1,810 KRW.
Prior to the release of the partition heater, the ‘Ecofree Mat’ was introduced, a carbon mat made with eco-friendly faux fur fabric. It applies patented carbon graphene heating wires to enhance durability and lightness. The far-infrared rays emitted from the carbon graphene heating wires deliver warmth deep into the skin, helping to raise body temperature. It is washable and can be folded multiple times for storage in the desired size. The single size has a power consumption of 125W. When used for 8 hours daily, the estimated monthly electricity bill is 1,130 KRW.
Cuckoo Homesys’s ‘DC Carbon Electric Heating Mat’ has been so popular since September that its monthly sales have increased by an average of 1.3 times. The heating wire material is made of high-elasticity carbon, which has the advantage of high thermal conductivity. Microfabric is applied using a seamless quilting method to prevent the internal antibacterial cotton from clumping. It uses Oeko-Tex certified cotton that is safe from fluorescent brighteners, formaldehyde, and other harmful substances, and it has also obtained certification for children's textiles. A Cuckoo Homesys representative explained, “It emits far-infrared rays that help with deep sleep,” adding, “The estimated electricity cost for using the single size 8 hours a day for a month is only 1,130 KRW.”
Lock&Lock’s home appliance subsidiary Jennifer Room introduced last month the ‘Cozy Mini Heater’ for 1-2 people, which is small in size, weighs about 1 kg, making it easy to carry and highly space-efficient. It applies a high-efficiency PTC heating method developed for aircraft cabin use, which heats the air without burning oxygen. If no operation is detected for more than 60 seconds, it switches to standby mode, and the power automatically turns off if it tips over. It also features a 1-4 hour automatic shut-off function for added convenience. With 800W power consumption, if used 4 hours daily for a month, the estimated electricity bill is 15,000 KRW.
