Upon receiving the report, the Coast Guard dispatched patrol ships, coastal rescue boats from Gohyeon and Sinhang police substations, and the Changwon rescue team to the scene.

Immediately after arriving at the scene, they rescued two people in their 70s and one person in their 50s aboard vessel A, as well as one crew member in their 70s aboard vessel B, and transferred them to shore.

The crew member on vessel B sustained bruises from the accident but was reported to have no serious health issues.

The damaged vessels were moved to Sibang Port, Geoje, after inspecting the damaged areas and checking for marine pollution.

A Changwon Coast Guard official stated, “During winter, strong winds and rapidly deteriorating weather conditions often make it difficult to check nearby vessels or geographical features while fishing or operating. We urge everyone to thoroughly observe their surroundings while navigating and to refrain from operating in bad weather.”
