Recently, an incident occurred where the history on former People Power Party leader Kim Ki-hyun's Facebook displayed the phrase "Resigned from People Power Party."

At around 5 p.m. on the 19th, a post appeared on former leader Kim's Facebook containing the phrase "Resigned from People Power Party, December 2023 - Party Leader." The post was deleted about an hour later, around 6 p.m., but in political circles, there was speculation that Kim, who recently stepped down from the leadership position, might have left the People Power Party.

Kim's side explained in a message sent to reporters, "The phrase displayed on Facebook was automatically posted during the process of updating the history following the resignation as party leader," and added, "There has been no change in party membership, so we hope there is no misunderstanding." They clarified that this happened because when they edited the Facebook profile history that stated "People Power Party Leader," the phrase "Resigned from People Power Party" was automatically posted.
