People Power Party Reveals 9 New Recruits Including Defector Kim Geumhyeok and Former Anchors Ho Junseok

The People Power Party announced 9 second-round recruited talents centered on the MG (MZ) generation on the 19th. Among the recruited talents were Kim Geum-hyeok, a defector and policy advisor at the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs specializing in North Korea and human rights, and Ho Jun-seok, former deputy director of the YTN News Department anchor team.

The People Power Party Talent Recruitment Committee held a public talent talk concert titled "Finding the Gems of the Republic of Korea" in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to unveil the recruited talents. Among those revealed this time, besides Advisor Kim and former anchor Ho, were lawyer Gong Ji-yeon in the multicultural field, Professor Chae Sang-mi of Ewha Womans University’s Department of Business Administration specializing in economics and IT, Jung Hye-rim, research fellow at SK Management and Economic Research Institute in the environmental sector, young social entrepreneur Shim Sung-hoon, CEO Lim Hyung-jun of a smart agriculture startup in the agricultural sector, Choi Su-jin, CEO of Panoros Biosciences in the bio sector, and Yoon Do-hyun (21), head of an independent youth support organization in the child and youth welfare field.


Since the recruitment focused on talents from the MZ generation, among the 9 individuals, 2 were in their 20s, 3 in their 30s, 2 in their 40s, and 2 in their 50s, showing a high proportion of young people.


However, among the talents revealed this time, Yoon Do-hyun was announced during the first recruitment round, overlapping with the current list of 9. Therefore, the actual number of newly added talents is 8.


Previously, on the 8th, the Talent Recruitment Committee announced the first-round recruits including pediatrician Ha Jung-hoon, chief researcher Park Chung-kwon of Hyundai Steel’s R&D headquarters, and Yoon Do-hyun.


Lee Cheol-gyu, chairman of the People Power Party Talent Recruitment Committee, introduced, "Among the 9, some intend to run in next year’s general election, while others are committed to various activities including policy development for the success of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration and the People Power Party’s victory in the general election."
