120% Increase in Customers from Other Regions
Sales Also Up 50% Compared to Last Year
E-Land Retail announced on the 19th that Factoria Outlet Gwangmyeong Branch has rapidly emerged as a 'national shopping sanctuary' just 100 days after its opening.
On September 15th, E-Land Retail transformed the existing New Core Outlet Gwangmyeong Branch into a new type of Factoria Outlet. Since then, the number of customers visiting from other regions has increased by an average of 120%.
As the number of visitors increased, sales also grew by more than 50% compared to the same period last year. The proportion of customers in their 20s and 30s doubled from 20% to 40%, gaining great popularity among the younger generation.
The key factor behind the popularity of Factoria Outlet Gwangmyeong Branch is that customers can purchase products from 135 brands located from the 2nd to the 5th floor of the building at economical prices 365 days a year. Factoria Outlet Gwangmyeong operates on a win-win model between brands and distributors, where brands only provide products, and E-Land Retail takes on the role of brand manager, handling interior design, product display, and checkout. This allows brands to create a sales channel to clear multi-year inventory without significant cost burden, while distributors can offer products to customers at exceptional prices.
An E-Land Retail official stated, "Factoria Outlet is a next-generation distribution model planned to reduce customer burden in the era of high inflation with the concept of 'an outlet cheaper than outlets.'" He added, "Encouraged by the success of the Gwangmyeong Branch, we plan to expand Factoria Outlets further next year."
