On the 18th, a post titled "Couple caught in the act of affection on the apartment rooftop" was uploaded to a domestic online community, drawing attention. The incident occurred the week before last, and the notice was reportedly posted last week.
The author, Mr. A, who claimed to reside in the apartment, attached the notice issued by the management office. According to the notice, "Recently, a young man and woman climbed onto the rooftop and engaged in affectionate behavior, which shocked the residents who witnessed the scene."
The notice included a photo of the couple sitting on the rooftop, seemingly entwined. The apartment is 18 stories tall, and the rooftop where the couple was sitting is sloped, making it a dizzying sight as a slip could result in fatal consequences.
The management office stated, "The rooftop is only accessible as an evacuation space in case of fire," and added, "To prevent safety accidents such as falls and damage to facilities, access is prohibited at all times, so please do not enter under any circumstances."
They also requested, "Please educate your children that rooftop access is not allowed. If you find people on the rooftop for reasons other than construction, please contact the management office immediately."
Netizens who came across the story responded with comments such as, "They are a couple who truly enjoy thrills," "Just looking at it makes me dizzy," and "The affectionate behavior is a problem, but doing that on the rooftop is also an issue."
Meanwhile, in November 2021, an accident occurred in Daegu where a woman in her 20s, engaging in affectionate behavior with a teenage boy on an apartment rooftop, fell to her death. With mutual consent, the woman’s hands were tied behind her back with a scarf during the act, and as she stood with her back to the railing, she lost balance and fell over 20 floors down outside the railing.
The teenage boy present at the scene was prosecuted for negligence causing death due to failure to exercise proper caution at the time of the accident and was sentenced in May to 10 months in prison with a 2-year probation period.
