Dong-A University MBA Alumni Association President Lee Cheol Receives Commendation from Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy

Commemorating Busan Trade Day, Attracting K-Food Business Overseas Including the Philippines

C&D Group Receives Consumer Award from the Korean Consumer Society, Double Celebration

Lee Cheol, MBA Alumni Association President of Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo), received a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy at the 2023 Busan Trade Day commemorative event.

President Lee was recognized for his significant contributions in actively attracting and promoting the K-Food distribution business in the Philippines and enhancing Korea's image through Korean products.

Graduated from the 46th class of the MBA program at Dong-A University Graduate School of Business Administration, President Lee currently serves as the 27th president of the MBA Alumni Association.

He started in 1992 with manufacturing heavy industry parts and has been operating for over 30 years. Since 2017, he ventured into the food service industry and established C&D Group Co., Ltd.

He operates Korean food franchise stores in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam, and in 2022, he also established the PHILGEULIN corporation in the Philippines, actively expanding his overseas franchise business.

C&D Group Co., Ltd., operated by President Lee, received the ‘2023 Consumer Award’ in the Service Innovation category from the Korean Consumer Society. C&D Group localized various business models including Korean food-related dining and photo businesses, providing Filipino customers opportunities to experience Korean culture and contributing to Korean-Philippine society through exports, which was highly praised.

President Lee said, “I am very pleased and honored to receive this award for discovering promising domestic small business owners and helping them expand overseas to countries such as the Philippines and Vietnam,” adding, “I will strive to export more domestic brands and products.”
