Ha Tae-kyung: "In Yo-han Suitable as Emergency Committee Chair... Han Dong-hoon as Election Committee Chair"

As Kim Ki-hyun, the leader of the People Power Party, resigned and the party shifted to an emergency response committee system, Kim Han-gil, chairman of the National Integration Committee, former People Power Party Innovation Committee chairman In Yo-han, and Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon have been mentioned as candidates for the new emergency response committee chairman. Among them, Rep. Ha Tae-kyung of the People Power Party selected former Innovation Committee chairman In as the most suitable figure.

On the 15th, Rep. Ha said on CBS's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' "The public will probably think that if In becomes the emergency response committee chairman, the party will definitely change. In fact, looking at the current situation, isn't 'In Yo-han's magic' working?"

When asked by the host who among Chairman Kim of the Integration Committee, former Innovation Committee chairman In, Minister Han, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, Rep. Kwon Young-se, and former Rep. Na Kyung-won is the most suitable person, he said, "One important factor is whether the person has a strong image of innovation, and another is whether they can comfortably speak frankly to the president," adding, "Most of the people being discussed now fit that."

Nevertheless, he chose former Innovation Committee chairman In as the most recommended candidate, citing his strong image of innovation. He said, "Isn't everything that former Innovation Committee chairman In wanted already achieved?" and added, "Not only former Innovation Committee chairman In, but also Chairman Kim of the Integration Committee, Minister Won, and Minister Han all have an image of innovation and can comfortably speak frankly to the president. So, I think about four of them are all good."

Regarding the host's question about whether former Innovation Committee chairman In, who has spoken about the president several times, is unable to break the unity between the party and government, Rep. Ha said, "In terms of representing the nation, the president is the sovereign, and we must respect that dignity. However, as a domestic political and administrative leader, the president can be subject to criticism," adding, "I believe former Innovation Committee chairman In shares the same view."

On Minister Han's role in the general election, he said, "We need to select the emergency response committee chairman by next week, but the originally scheduled cabinet reshuffle was not this month; it was planned for next month, so the timing doesn't quite match," suggesting that the emergency response committee chairman position is not appropriate for Minister Han.

He added, "Minister Han is naturally the election campaign chairman. He is currently the top conservative presidential candidate and is very popular among the public, so he needs to travel nationwide."
