Jeongseon-gun Introduces Eco-Friendly Electric Road Sweeper 'CleanSky'

Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon Province announced that it has introduced the eco-friendly compact electric street sweeper ‘Clean Sky’ and will deploy and operate it in Gohan-eup and other areas where roads are narrow and vehicle traffic is heavy.

By reducing road dust re-suspension, it aims to create a pleasant air environment, and especially plans to utilize ‘Clean Sky’ for clean road environment management during the seasonal management period from December to March, when fine dust worsens every year.

The newly introduced ‘Clean Sky’ is a street sweeper equipped with a water spraying function, which excels not only in cleaning dust and small trash but also in controlling dispersed dust. Moreover, as it operates 100% on electricity, it can clean in an eco-friendly manner without carbon emissions, thereby enhancing the efficiency of Jeongseon-gun’s environmental sanitation administrative services.

In particular, Jeongseon-gun decided to introduce this vehicle equipped with a water spraying function suitable for Jeongseon-gun after reviewing cases, performance, and resident satisfaction surveys from other local governments operating similar eco-friendly electric street sweepers.

An official from Jeongseon-gun stated, “The introduction of ‘Clean Sky,’ which can be used on narrow back roads and alleys where large sweepers have difficulty working, will play a significant role not only in maintaining a pleasant road environment but also in improving the health of local residents.”
