According to Ildong Pharmaceutical, Kim Yumi, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, visited Ildong Pharmaceutical's Anseong plant on the 13th to inspect the production status and raw material inventory of antibiotics for treating Mycoplasma pneumonia. Present at the meeting were Yoon Woongseop, Vice Chairman and CEO of Ildong Pharmaceutical, and Lee Jaejun, Chief Operating Officer, who discussed issues related to the supply of the treatment.

Yoon Woongseop, CEO of Ildong Pharmaceutical, stated, "We will prioritize efforts to ensure the stable production and supply of Mycoplasma pneumonia treatments," adding, "Ildong Pharmaceutical will actively cooperate with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's drug supply management measures."

Kim Yumi, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, also said, "We appreciate the efforts to supply medicines amid the respiratory infectious disease outbreak," and added, "The Ministry will closely collaborate with the pharmaceutical industry to provide support and cooperation for the stable supply of medicines."

Ildong Pharmaceutical holds antibiotics used for treating Mycoplasma pneumonia, including 'Ajitops' (active ingredient Azithromycin), 'Ildong Roksitromycin' (active ingredient Roxithromycin), and 'Ciracle' (active ingredient Clarithromycin).

An Ildong Pharmaceutical official explained, "Thanks to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's proactive information provision amid concerns over the spread of infectious diseases, we were able to quickly secure raw materials for related treatments such as Ajitops," adding, "We have completed manufacturing preparations and have begun emergency production."
