80 Volunteers Personally Delivered
150 Hand-Knitted Neck Warmers
Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the '2023 Love Scarf Knitting Sharing Ceremony' on the 13th at the multipurpose hall of the Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
The '2023 Love Scarf' was made over 42 days with warm care, stitch by stitch, by a total of 80 volunteers from the Happiness Plus Volunteer Group, Altteulang Volunteer Group, and general volunteers.
In particular, this year's '2023 Love Scarf' event saw the participation of many general volunteers, resulting in 150 wonderful scarves, each reflecting individual personalities, attracting attention.
A volunteer who participated in the ceremony said, "Thinking of someone who will spend a warm winter with the scarf I made, I quickly finished 10 scarves," adding, "I feel proud to be able to gift a warm winter through my small talent donation."
Jang Chung-nam, the county governor, said, "I believe those who receive the scarves, filled with the sincere care knitted by the volunteers' talent donations, will be very happy. I thank all the volunteers for creating a warm Namhae with every stitch."
Meanwhile, the 150 completed Love Scarves will be delivered to underprivileged and marginalized groups in the area through the Hwabang Namhae Senior Integrated Support Center.
