The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 14th that the 33rd Child Support Enforcement Deliberation Committee has decided on 130 individuals subject to sanctions for failure to pay child support.
By type of sanction, 5 individuals will be publicly listed, 89 will be prohibited from leaving the country, and 36 will have their driver's licenses suspended.
According to the Ministry, the number of individuals requested for sanctions has been continuously increasing since the implementation of the sanctions. Since the sanctions were implemented in July 2021, 504 individuals (excluding duplicates) have been requested for sanctions, and among them, 121 have made full or partial payments of their child support debts, showing effectiveness in enforcing child support.
Meanwhile, the 34th Child Support Enforcement Deliberation Committee is scheduled to be held in February next year.
