Taxi hit by 2 passenger cars at Jinju Gyeongsang National University Hospital... 7 pedestrians and others injured

At around 11 a.m. on the 13th, a taxi driving on the road in front of the main building of Gyeongsang National University Hospital in Jinju, Gyeongnam, collided with two passenger cars in succession.

According to the Jinju Police Station, the taxi driven by a man in his 60s, identified as Mr. A, collided with a no-parking sign ahead while passing through the main gate of Gyeongsang National University Hospital, and then hit another passenger car that was stopped.

As a result of the accident, the passenger cars were pushed, causing five pedestrians to be struck by the vehicles, and a total of seven people, including passengers, were injured and taken to the hospital.

All the injured are reported to be in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.

At the time, Mr. A was understood to have been driving slowly after passing through the main gate to drop off a customer at the hospital, but caused the accident for unknown reasons.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on witness statements that the slow-moving vehicle suddenly crashed into the sign and sped away.
