Overseas Koreans Can Also Obtain Civil Service Certificates Remotely

Jongno-gu Operates Unmanned Civil Document Issuance Machines at Overseas Diplomatic Missions in LA, Shanghai, and More

Overseas Koreans Can Also Obtain Civil Service Certificates Remotely

Jongno-gu (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) signed a business agreement on the 12th with the Overseas Koreans Office's Overseas Korean Service Support Center for the "Installation and Operation of Pilot Unmanned Civil Document Issuance Machines at Overseas Diplomatic Missions."

With this, Jongno-gu will pilot the unmanned civil document issuance machines at the Consulate General in Los Angeles, the Consulate General in Shanghai, the Embassy in Singapore, and the Embassy in Malaysia, providing overseas Koreans with fast and convenient civil administrative services similar to those available domestically.

This agreement is especially meaningful as it is the result of continuous cooperation and efforts with the Overseas Korean Service Support Center, which was established in the region last June.

District Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, "Through the pilot operation of the unmanned civil document issuance machines, overseas Koreans can receive civil documents non-face-to-face without long waiting times," and added, "We will strive to provide services that enhance both citizen convenience and administrative efficiency."
