SAMG Entertainment (CEO Kim Suhoon, hereinafter SAMG Entertainment) announced on the 13th that "Catch! Teenieping" won the Presidential Award in the animation category at the "2023 Korea Content Awards" ceremony held at the National Museum of Korea.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency, the "Korea Content Awards Ceremony" is a prestigious event that celebrates individuals and outstanding content contributing to the development of Korea's content industry.
At the 15th annual "Korea Content Awards Ceremony" this year, SAMG Entertainment's "Catch! Teenieping" received the grand prize, the Presidential Award. "Catch! Teenieping" was highly praised for its high level of completeness in scenarios, worldview, characters, and more, expanding both domestically and internationally.
The "Catch! Teenieping" series, launched by SAMG Entertainment in 2020, is a mega content with a fandom of 2 million kids in Korea alone. With a cumulative figure sales volume of 4.5 million units, a peak viewership rating surpassing 20%, and ranking first on domestic and international OTT platforms, it has continuously set new records for kids' intellectual property (IP) within three years of its launch, firmly establishing its position as the number one kids' content.
Based on the "Catch! Teenieping" series, SAMG Entertainment is also bringing a new breeze to the content business model. Beyond enjoying animation and merchandise, it recently opened "Teenieping World in Pangyo" at Famirus Mall in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, presenting a new content business model that offers fandoms immersive and engaging experiences.
