Osan-si Selects Outstanding Public Officials for Proactive Administration

Five Outstanding Public Officials and One Outstanding Team Selected

Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 13th that it has selected five outstanding public officials and one outstanding team for the second half of the year who achieved results through proactive work efforts.


The city explained that it received a total of 24 cases of proactive administration, selected candidates through surveys of citizens and employees and practical reviews, and then made the final selection after a review by the Proactive Administration Committee earlier this month.

The Grand Prize was awarded to Team Leader Kang Dong-hee of the Urban Development Division, who contributed to the re-designation of the Segyo 3 District as a public housing district through active cooperation with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the National Assembly, and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).


Additionally, Jang Hye-yoon, a staff member of the Planning and Budget Office, who actively proposed key projects to the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and secured provincial funding, received the Excellence Award. Team Leader Lee Eun-mi of the Family and Childcare Division, who showed achievements such as establishing the Women's Job Working Council, Women's Safety Task Force (TF), and the Joint Response Team for Domestic and Sexual Violence, received the Encouragement Award.


Furthermore, Team Leader Pyeon Mi-wol of the Civil Affairs and Passport Division and Team Leader Lee Eun-young of the Lifelong Education Division each received the Effort Award.


The outstanding team award went to the Sports Facilities Team of the Sports and Tourism Division. They were highly evaluated for securing national and provincial funding, reducing the budget through the repair and maintenance of sports facilities, and improving the sports facility environment.


The city will provide incentives such as personnel points and reward leave to the outstanding public officials and teams selected this time.


Mayor Lee Kwon-jae of Osan City said, "We will continue to strive to provide administrative services that bring greater satisfaction to our citizens by spreading a culture of proactive administration within the organization."
