Eastar Jet Surpasses 10,000 Cumulative Flights... Average Load Factor 94%

259 Days Since Flight Resumption in March

Eastar Jet announced on the 12th that it surpassed a cumulative total of 10,000 commercial flights on the 9th. This milestone was achieved approximately 259 days after resuming operations on March 26 of this year. Since then, the airline increased its fleet by adding one aircraft in the first half and six aircraft in the second half of the year to boost the number of flights.


In September, when international flights began, the average daily number of flights increased to 54, supplying over 10,000 seats per day. From November, when the fleet reached 10 aircraft, Eastar Jet has been operating 64 flights daily, including 44 domestic flights and 22 international flights.

Since resuming operations, Eastar Jet has supplied a total of 1.89 million seats through 10,000 commercial flights. During the same period, approximately 1.78 million passengers boarded the planes, achieving a cumulative load factor of about 94%. As of November, domestic routes departing from regional airports (Cheongju and Gunsan to Jeju) recorded the highest load factors among low-cost carriers (LCCs). For international routes, starting with Gimpo-Taiwan, the airline is preparing to resume its first regional international flight from Cheongju to Taiwan on the 20th of this month.


An Eastar Jet official stated, “Improvements in the business environment through rehabilitation and investment have accelerated the introduction of aircraft, and with our existing operational experience and know-how, we have surpassed 10,000 flights in a short period, continuing smooth operations.
