Spatial information AI technology company Dabeeo has announced the signing of an official partnership to strengthen collaboration with Airbus, an aircraft manufacturer and satellite imagery provider.
With this partnership with Airbus, Dabeeo has further reinforced its cooperation system with major overseas satellite imagery providers, thereby gaining more momentum in its core satellite image analysis business.
The collaboration between Dabeeo and Airbus has been ongoing since 2018. Airbus, which owns the world’s highest resolution 30cm-class satellites, has provided imagery to Dabeeo, based on which Dabeeo has developed AI models for satellite image analysis. Airbus has continuously provided feedback on the performance of Dabeeo’s AI models, significantly contributing to Dabeeo’s rise to a world-class level in the spatial information AI field. This official partnership agreement between Dabeeo and Airbus further strengthens the cooperation between the two companies and is expected to serve as a stepping stone for Dabeeo to join the global leading group in satellite image data analysis and utilization.
Dabeeo’s ability to strengthen partnerships with global satellite imagery providers like Airbus is supported by its own differentiated technology. In particular, Dabeeo possesses ‘super-resolution’ technology that enhances image quality to high resolution. Since satellite images are captured from high altitudes, their resolution is lower compared to aerial or drone images. However, satellites can quickly capture wide areas, so if the resolution of satellite images is supplemented through super-resolution technology, their competitiveness can be greatly improved. Dabeeo is making satellite images more valuable with its super-resolution technology, significantly expanding their range of applications.
Dabeeo provides customized analytical data across various fields, from detecting illegal buildings in urban areas, estimating carbon potential through forest monitoring, to reconnaissance of aircraft and ships for defense and security. Recently, it has developed technology to directly convert 2D satellite images into 3D models, greatly advancing its business. Furthermore, Dabeeo is rapidly expanding its market beyond Korea to overseas stages such as the United States, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Jooheum Park, CEO of Dabeeo, stated, “The partnership with Airbus will accelerate the explosive growth of Dabeeo’s core global business in the field of Geo-Intelligence (GeoInt.).”
