Seodaemun-gu Opens Nation's First Clay Road 'Vinyl House'

Seodaemun-gu Opens Nation's First Clay Road 'Vinyl House'

Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) installed vinyl greenhouses along the entire 450m-long, 2m-wide Ansan Hwangtotgil and held an opening ceremony on the afternoon of the 11th.

The district created this facility on the Hwangtotgil for the first time in the country so that citizens can use this place comfortably and safely even when it rains, snows, the wind blows, or the temperature drops.

About 50 people participated in the opening ceremony, including residents of Yeonhui-dong, Park Dongchang, president of the Barefoot Walking National Movement Headquarters, its members, Park Chansuk, coach of the Seodaemun-gu Office women's basketball team, the players, and Lee Seongheon, mayor of Seodaemun-gu.

Although it was actually raining and windy on that day, they enjoyed barefoot walking without discomfort.

In his opening remarks, Mayor Lee Seongheon said, “With the love and support of many people, we plan to extend the Ansan Hwangtotgil by about 100m and newly create the Cheonnyeondong Hwangtotgil and Baekryeonsan Barefoot Walking Trail.”

Previously, the Ansan Hwangtotgil, which the district opened in August this year, has gained great popularity, attracting an average of about 2,300 citizens daily.
