Honam University Department of Aviation, Successfully Concludes the 11th Aviation Service Management Academic Conference

On the 8th, the Department of Aviation Service at Honam University held the '11th Aviation Service Management Academic Festival' at the Seongin-gwan International Conference Room, with participation from current students and faculty, Dean Lee Young-bin of the College of Social Management, Kim Chang-seung, president of the alumni association, Park Kyung-wan, head of the department advisory committee, and several other advisory committee members.

At this academic festival, alumni who are former or current flight attendants active in airlines also participated, providing advice and mentoring to their juniors.

In the first part of the festival, with the cooperation of the KSPO Gwangju Physical Fitness Certification Center, a physical fitness measurement program using the National Fitness 100 program was conducted, along with a program to select the 'Fitness King' within the department.

The second part featured presentations by first- to third-year students utilizing their major knowledge, and in the third part, Chinese students wore traditional costumes and showcased a fashion show and traditional Chinese dance on stage.

Following this, as a specialized AI university, the department's students directly programmed an online-based learning Kahoot platform to conduct the aviation major knowledge-related 'Challenge! Golden Bell' program.

Additionally, at the Aviation Service Management Academic Festival, student Song Seong-yeon (class of 2019) demonstrated an aircraft emergency evacuation training using newly introduced VR equipment in the department, and the event concluded with the awarding of WINGs to first-year students.

Park Kyung-wan, director of the Asia Culture Content Development Institute who participated in the festival, praised the students, saying, "Having observed Honam University's Department of Aviation Service academic festival every year, I have seen the students' passion along with their diversity and creativity stand out."
