Damyang County Council, 325th 2nd Regular Session 'Ordinance Review'

A total of 19 cases: 1 from the Council Steering Committee, 11 from the Autonomous Administration Committee, and 7 from the Industry and Construction Committee

The Damyang County Council in Jeollanam-do announced on the 11th that it reviewed ordinance proposals by committee through the 2nd regular session of the 325th meeting.

The Ordinance on Council Operation Committee consists of one proposal, the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Residents' Initiative in Damyang County," which was primarily proposed by Councilor Park Eun-seo. It newly established provisions regarding the designation of a representative for simplification of procedures when there are multiple representatives, and added a clause requiring the representative to submit a certificate to enhance transparency in the joint signatures and signing process of the claimants.

The Ordinance proposals of the Autonomy Administration Committee include 11 items. The "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Protection of Local Cultural Heritage in Damyang County," primarily proposed by Councilor Jang Myung-young, expanded the scope of the existing ordinance to include matters related to the preservation and management of nationally and provincially designated cultural heritage and strengthened the protection of private property rights of local residents.

The "Ordinance on the Installation and Management of Outdoor Exercise Equipment in Damyang County," primarily proposed by Councilor Park Jun-yeop, stipulates necessary matters for the installation and efficient maintenance of outdoor exercise equipment to contribute to the health promotion of county residents.

In addition, the committee reviewed the following ordinances: ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Activation of Residents' Autonomy in Damyang County ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Installation and Operation of Eup, Myeon, and Ri Units in Damyang County ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Designation and Operation of the County Treasury in Damyang County ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Medical Benefits Fund Special Account in Damyang County ▲ Ordinance on Support for Village Care in Damyang County ▲ Ordinance on the Operation and Management of the Village Senior Welfare Center in Damyang County ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Management and Operation of Cultural Facilities in Damyang County ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on Festival Support and Operation in Damyang County ▲ Ordinance on the Activation of Night Tourism in Damyang County.

The Industrial Construction Committee reviewed seven ordinance proposals. Councilor Park Jun-yeop primarily proposed the "Ordinance on Supporting the Activation of ESG Management in Damyang County," highlighting the necessity of ESG management based on eco-friendly, social contribution, and transparent governance by local companies to enhance corporate competitiveness and revitalize the local economy.

Councilor Jeong Cheol-won proposed the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Management of Apartment Complexes in Damyang County," suggesting an increase in the upper limit of repair subsidies for apartment complexes and differentiated subsidy support according to the number of households.

Councilor Jang Myung-young’s "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Restriction of Livestock Farming in Damyang County" proposed a rational adjustment of the installation of emission facilities within livestock farming restriction zones to promote livestock industry development and improve residents' health.

Additionally, the committee reviewed the following ordinances: ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Operation of Happy Taxi and Support for Users in Damyang County ▲ Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of a Special Account for Compensation of Long-term Unexecuted County Planning Facilities in Damyang County ▲ Ordinance on the Connection of County Roads and Other Facilities in Damyang County ▲ Partial Amendment to the Building Ordinance in Damyang County.

Meanwhile, these ordinance proposals are scheduled to be approved by each committee on the 12th and finally ratified at the 4th plenary session on the 14th.
