"Jisikgwa Gyoyang" publishes research papers that integrate major-related knowledge with liberal arts education in culture, society, and human sciences, aiming at popularizing knowledge and interdisciplinary convergence among academic fields.
The Center for Liberal Education Innovation Research accepts research papers in basic liberal arts, humanities, arts, and convergence fields, and publishes those that pass the review process in "Jisikgwa Gyoyang."
From 2018 to last year, "Jisikgwa Gyoyang" was published twice a year (May and November), but starting this year, the publication frequency has increased to three times a year (March, July, and November).
The National Research Foundation of Korea annually selects registered and candidate journals through the "Korean Citation Index (KCI) New Journal Evaluation."
Registered academic journals are included in the Korean Citation Index (KCI), which databases domestic academic journal information, paper information, and references to analyze citation relationships among papers.
Citation information serves as a qualitative evaluation indicator of domestic research achievements and is also used as basic data for establishing national research and development (R&D) policies.
"Jisikgwa Gyoyang" was promoted to a registered candidate journal by the National Research Foundation of Korea in November 2021 and was finally listed as a registered journal on the 8th of this month.
Song Seokrang, director of the Center for Liberal Education Innovation Research at Mokwon University, said, “With 'Jisikgwa Gyoyang' being selected as a registered academic journal, we will devote ourselves even more to the popularization of liberal arts and knowledge.”
