I have great concerns about this phenomenon," and said, "As someone who served as the leader of the Democratic Party, I expect him to quietly help strengthen and expand the party, but I am worried that he might instead become a focal point of division and conflict within the party."

He continued, "Several lawmakers, including Lee Tan-hee, are advocating for a mixed-member proportional representation system as a political reform, but former leader Lee's new party theory might be making even sincere discussions about the electoral system difficult," and said, "Now is the time to help by observing internal party discussions quietly, like serving in white clothes (백의종군)."
