Dong-A Pharmaceutical Selected for Consumer-Centered Management Hall of Fame... Commendation from Fair Trade Commission Chairman

Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced on the 8th that it was selected for the 'Hall of Fame' category and received a Commendation from the Fair Trade Commission Chairman at the 2023 Consumer Centered Management (CCM) Excellent Company Awards Ceremony held at Lotte Hotel World in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

CCM certification is a nationally recognized certification system that started in 2007, which organizes all activities performed by a company around the consumer and evaluates and certifies improvements every two years. The evaluation is conducted by the Korea Consumer Agency, and the certification is handled by the Fair Trade Commission.


The Hall of Fame is selected through an additional review for companies that have obtained CCM certification seven or more times and maintained it for over 12 years. Awarded companies can use the CCM certification mark in marketing activities such as product packaging.


Since its first certification in 2011, Dong-A Pharmaceutical has passed all re-evaluations every two years, receiving CCM certification seven consecutive times. In 2016, it was recognized for its contribution to promoting consumer rights at the Consumer Day ceremony and became the first pharmaceutical company to receive a Presidential Commendation.


Dong-A Pharmaceutical regularly analyzes the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to make improvements and conducts quarterly consumer satisfaction surveys to listen to various opinions and understand consumer needs, thereby practicing consumer-centered management. Suggestions and proposals from consumers are shared in real-time with related departments to ensure they can be applied to products and services.


The company also operates meetings such as the CCM Steering Committee and the Zero-Claim Meeting to share issues and make decisions for realizing consumer-centered management across the entire organization. CCM education is included in employee training programs to internalize consumer-centered management into the organizational culture.


A Dong-A Pharmaceutical representative stated, "We believe that our diligent analysis and continuous improvement of the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to prioritize consumers in management activities were highly evaluated," adding, "Having protected public health for over 90 years, Dong-A Pharmaceutical will continue to make sustained efforts to develop further as a consumer-centered pharmaceutical company."
