Damyang-gun is conducting an intensive promotional campaign for the Hometown Love Donation Program targeting corporate employees during the year-end tax settlement period.
According to the county on the 11th, since October, they have been focusing on promoting the Hometown Love Donation Program to corporate employees.
The county carried out a total of 21 visit campaigns targeting four local agro-industrial complexes' manufacturing companies, Gimje Jipyeongseon Industrial Complex, Gwangju Jingok Industrial Complex, Kia Motors, and Kumho Tire factories.
To enhance the promotional effect, during lunch hours, they distributed tax credit promotional leaflets and hot packs in the industrial complexes' cafeterias, and during employees' commuting hours, they handed out the same materials at large manufacturing companies, receiving great interest from workers.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments (metropolitan or basic) other than their place of residence. Donations up to 100,000 KRW are fully tax-deductible, and amounts exceeding that receive a 16.5% tax credit. Additionally, thank-you gifts are provided within 30% of the donation amount.
A county official stated, “The Hometown Love Donation Fund, which supplements the deteriorated local finances and is used for revitalizing the local economy and improving residents' welfare, offers tax credit benefits, making it a very practical system for companies and employees during year-end tax settlements. We will continue to put all our efforts into promoting the Hometown Love Donation Program until the end of the year to expand its reach.”
