KIT Human Resources Development Forum Also Held
How Far Has the University Innovation Support Project Achieved Results?
The Innovation Support Project Group of Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) held the ‘KIT Human Resources Development Forum’ under the theme of ‘Innovation Directions for Nurturing Talent through Win-Win Cooperation between Local Communities and Universities and RISE System-Based Local Talent Development.’
They also held the ‘2023 Specialized College Innovation Support Project Performance Exhibition’ for three days from the 7th to the 9th.

During the event, the forum held on the 8th began with a keynote presentation by Won Gwang-hae, Head of the Industry-Academia-Research Group at Busan Technopark, on ‘Busan Metropolitan City RISE Promotion Directions and Plans.’
It was followed by special lectures including ▲Yoon Woo-young, Head of the Innovation Support Project Group at Keimyung Culture University, on ‘Innovation Directions for University Education Systems within the RISE Framework,’ ▲Park Dong-yeol, Senior Researcher at the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training, on ‘Development Plans for Vocational and Lifelong Education to Enhance Regional Competitiveness,’ and ▲Song Kyung-young, Head of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Group at Ulsan College of Science, on ‘Measures to Revitalize Industry-Academia Cooperation Innovation.’
Under the moderation of Lim Jun-woo, Head of the Innovation Support Project Group at Gyeongnam Information University, a panel discussion was held on ‘Innovation Directions for Local Talent Development Based on the RISE System.’
The concurrently held ‘Specialized College Innovation Support Project Performance Exhibition’ took place at the university’s Future Hall and the 50th Anniversary Memorial Hall, showcasing and sharing educational achievements such as extracurricular programs and capstone design projects alongside Gyeongnam Information University’s academic festival and art exhibitions.
Lim Jun-woo, the head of the group, said, “I am grateful that the university’s education and industry-academia cooperation organizations have innovated to nurture local talent, and that the members have united to achieve good results in the Innovation Support Project.” He added, “Gyeongnam Information University will do its best to nurture talent by strengthening student capabilities.”
This event was hosted by Gyeongnam Information University and organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea as part of the 2023 Specialized College Innovation Support Project.
