UH Suite Meeting the Demand of Premium Foreign Tourists for Groups of Four or More
UH Suite, the premium hotel brand of UHC Co., Ltd., is set to open its 9th branch, 'Deoksugung,' just six months after launching its 8th branch, 'Central Seoul.'
Starting with the first branch in Myeongdong in 2019, UH Suite currently operates 11 locations nationwide with approximately 200 rooms as of 2023. Aiming for fewer than 30 rooms per branch, it leads the 'small luxury' hotel market characterized by upscale features and specialization in multi-occupancy rooms.
According to the 2023 foreign tourist survey released by the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute on November 26, foreign visitors traveling to Korea come in groups averaging 4.6 people, and their spending has increased by more than 10% on average compared to pre-COVID levels.
This result aligns with the growth of UH Suite, which specializes in multi-occupancy rooms and satisfies the sophisticated needs of foreign visitors to Korea.
With years of accumulated hotel operation know-how, UHC Co., Ltd. has configured the 8th branch, 'Central Seoul,' with 6-person and 8-person rooms and specialized the interior design with a Korean concept. Since opening, it has consistently achieved an average room rate of over 400,000 KRW and an occupancy rate exceeding 95%.
As UH Suite leads the changing trends of foreign travel to Korea, expectations are high for the strategies and concepts that the 9th branch, 'Deoksugung,' scheduled to open in February 2024, will showcase.
