According to the distributor on that day, 'Seoul's Spring' recorded a cumulative 7,019,419 viewers as of midnight on the 11th, surpassing 7 million viewers within 20 days of release.

The film, released on the 22nd of last month, surpassed 1 million viewers on the 4th day, 2 million on the 6th day, 3 million on the 10th day, 4 million on the 12th day, and 5 million on the 14th day. It exceeded the break-even point of 4.2 million viewers within two weeks and continued its success by reaching 7 million viewers on the 20th day.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, 'Seoul's Spring' is the only Korean film (not a sequel) to attract 7 million viewers. It ranks second in box office success this year among Korean films, following 'Crime City 3' (directed by Lee Sang-yong).

Notably, it reached the 7 million mark faster than the historic 10 million-grossing films such as 'Miracle in Cell No. 7' (7 million on day 21), 'Masquerade' (7 million on day 21), and 'The King and the Clown' (7 million on day 33), drawing attention as a potential second '10 million film' of the year.

'Seoul's Spring' portrays the tense nine hours to prevent the New Military Group's rebellion in Seoul on December 12, 1979. Actor Hwang Jung-min plays Jeon Du-gwang, inspired by Chun Doo-hwan, and Jung Woo-sung portrays Lee Tae-shin, the Capital Security Commander. Park Hae-joon, Lee Sung-min, and Kim Sung-kyun also appear. The film is directed by Kim Seong-su, known for 'Beat' (1997), 'The Flu' (2013), and 'Asura' (2016).

The film 'Three Days' Vacation' (directed by Yuk Sang-hyo), released on the 6th, attracted 142,403 viewers over the weekend, debuting at number two, while 'Napoleon,' released the same day, drew 78,335 viewers, ranking third.

The romance 'Single in Seoul' (directed by Park Beom-su), starring Lim Soo-jung and Lee Dong-wook, attracted 47,680 viewers, placing fourth. Its cumulative audience is 335,107.

The Japanese film 'Monster,' directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, attracted 39,949 viewers, ranking fifth. Its cumulative audience reached 204,344, making it the highest-grossing Japanese film directed by Koreeda in terms of audience numbers.

Rankings six through eight were 'Pororo the Movie: Superstar Adventure,' 'Freddy's Pizzeria,' and 'NCT Nation: To the World in Cinema,' respectively.

The total number of moviegoers over the weekend was 1,969,815.
