Aimed at nurturing peace unification leaders through information provision and learning support on peace unification
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the '2023 Gwangjin Unification Naru Citizen Classroom' on the 8th at the main auditorium, organized by the Gwangjin-gu Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (Chairman Jeong Sampo).
The event aimed to deepen understanding of unification policies and inter-Korean relations, and to provide accurate information on peaceful unification to spread consensus.
The program proceeded with a promotional video of the National Unification Advisory Council, followed by an opening ceremony, lectures, discussions, and a Q&A session.
The lecture featured Yoon Yeo-sang, director of the North Korean Human Rights Information Center, and Hyunhyang, a defector and classical singer, focusing on the political situation and human rights issues in North Korea. Afterwards, group discussions and Q&A sessions were held, creating a warm atmosphere and forming a consensus on peaceful unification.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I sincerely thank Chairman Jeong Sampo and all advisory committee members who are working to establish a foundation for peaceful unification and spread consensus in the local community,” adding, “We will actively communicate and cooperate so that residents can have a correct understanding and sentiment toward peaceful unification.”
