Vice Minister of Economy and Finance: "Allocated 900 Billion Won to Support Small Business Owners... Expanding Heating and Cooling Equipment Distribution"

The government has allocated a 900 billion KRW budget package consisting of three types to support small business management next year.


On the morning of the 8th, Kim Byunghwan, the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, visited Yangdong Market in Gwangju and stated, "We will strengthen policy efforts to alleviate the burdens on traditional markets and small business owners and to expand their sales base."


The government has prepared a 900 billion KRW budget package consisting of three types to support small business management, aimed at reducing burdens such as energy and interest expenses and supporting employment insurance premiums. Specifically, it includes 100 billion KRW for expanding the distribution of high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment, 800 billion KRW for expanding low-interest policy fund loans, and 15 billion KRW for strengthening employment insurance premium support for self-employed workers.

The installment payment of electricity bills for small business owners, which was only implemented during the summer season (June to September), will be expanded to the winter season (December to February), and the usage locations for Onnuri gift certificates will be expanded next year.


Vice Minister Kim Byunghwan said, "To strengthen the competitiveness of traditional markets, we will support the development of cultural tourism markets that provide attractions and food by linking market characteristics with unique regional resources," adding, "We also plan to continuously expand the smart store distribution project that supports the installation of smart facilities such as kiosks and smart orders in small business stores."
