HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Launches 7 Mini Excavator Models

Ulsan 'Global Launch' Event
Participation of Corporations and Dealers from 15 Countries

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment announced on the 8th that it held a global launch event for seven new mini excavator models at the Ulsan Campus PR Center.

The event was attended by over 200 people, including representatives from subsidiaries in 15 countries, dealers, and partners. The program included product unveiling and explanation, demonstrations, a mini talk show, and performances.

The new mini excavator lineup consists of seven models weighing 1.7t, 1.9t, 3t, 3.5t, 4t, 4.8t, and 5.5t. HD Hyundai explained that the products comply with the European Stage V emission standards. They are equipped with specifications and performance to maximize work efficiency. The equipment noise level is the lowest among models in the same class. An emergency switch that can immediately stop the excavator engine in case of an emergency is installed. The design is ergonomically optimized.

Mini excavators are highly versatile in various environments such as urban areas, farms, and country houses. Demand has been increasing recently. Off-Highway Research, a UK-based global construction equipment research firm, expects the demand for mini excavators to grow until 2027. It forecasts a market exceeding 18 trillion KRW.

Choi Cheol-gon, President of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, said, "We have increased the annual production capacity of new mini excavators from 7,000 units to 10,000 units recently, raising it by more than 40% to promptly respond to global demand," adding, "We will continue to enhance product competitiveness to secure technological superiority in the mini excavator market."
