Dongjak-gu Supports Household Care Services for All Pregnant Families

Providing Basic Household Care Such as Cleaning and Laundry for the Health of Pregnant Women and Fetuses

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 8th that it will promote the 'Pre-birth Pregnancy Mom Helper Support Project' to help pregnant women prepare for a healthy childbirth.

The 'Pre-birth Pregnancy Mom Helper Support Project' is a program that dispatches housekeepers from government-certified institutions to households with pregnant women who have difficulty performing household chores, providing housekeeping care services.

Regardless of income or property criteria, pregnant women registered as residents in Dongjak-gu are eligible to receive basic housekeeping services such as cleaning, laundry, and garbage disposal for 4 hours per session, up to a total of 6 sessions.

Pregnant women can apply by visiting the local community service center with their ID and pregnancy confirmation documents or maternal handbook, or by using the QR code.

Users can use the service at a rate of 7,000 KRW for 4 hours on weekdays and 8,000 KRW on Saturdays.

Since starting the 'Pre-birth Pregnancy Mom Helper Support Project' on November 13 last year, the district has provided services to 71 people, receiving great responses from users.

Meanwhile, starting this year, the district is expanding the 'Dongjak-gu Type Pregnancy and Childbirth Support Package' to comprehensively cover pregnancy and childbirth expenses not supported by the government, including ▲ out-of-pocket costs for maternal and newborn health care (postpartum care costs) ▲ Dongjak childbirth congratulatory money ▲ childbirth congratulatory supplies ▲ support for fetal anomaly testing.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, "This project is being promoted by collecting residents' opinions, and I hope it will help many families," adding, "We will continue to create a child-friendly Dongjak through various supports from pregnancy to childbirth and parenting."
