Expansion of Social and Digital Marketing
Plans to Use AI for Innovation Promotion
Global travel and leisure platform Klook announced on the 7th that it has secured $210 million (approximately 276 billion KRW) in Series E+ funding.
This investment was led by global investment firm Bessemer Venture Partners. Banks including Citibank, JP Morgan, and HSBC also participated.
Klook plans to use the funds raised from this investment to strengthen three core areas for growth. First, in terms of product enhancement, it aims to expand the activity bundle product "Klook City Pass" to help travelers with convenience and cost savings. Additionally, through the Klook Creator Program, it plans to expand social and digital marketing and increase high-quality user-generated content.
Innovation using AI will also be pursued. Recently announcing a collaboration with Google Cloud, Klook plans to integrate generative AI across its platform to support automatic translation, content creation, and customer service chatbots.
Furthermore, aiming to increase market share and corporate growth, Klook stated it plans to collaborate with new strategic investors to approach the rapidly growing middle class in Southeast Asia.
