Gijang-gun to Hold Resident Autonomy Program Presentation and Exhibition This Year

On the 7th, Gijang-gun, Busan, successfully held the '2023 Gijang-gun Resident Autonomy Program Presentation' at the Cha-seong Art Hall in the county office.

Gijang-gun to Hold Resident Autonomy Program Presentation and Exhibition This Year Gijang-gun is holding a community autonomy program presentation at Chaseong Art Hall.

The presentation was promoted to share the operational achievements of the resident autonomy programs throughout the year and to create a space for communication and harmony among residents, with about 300 participants including resident autonomy committee members from five eup and myeon, students, and local residents.


Starting with a poetry recital performance, the trot janggu, saxophone, Korean dance, laughter exercise class, guitar class, Zumba dance, and line dance teams freely demonstrated the skills they had learned and accumulated, receiving great responses from the residents.


Also, from December 5th to 8th, the 'Resident Autonomy Program Exhibition' was held in the lobby on the first floor of the Gijang-gun Office, providing various attractions to local residents.


The exhibition displayed high-quality works by students from the resident autonomy programs of the five eup and myeon, including calligraphy, watercolor painting, botanical art, pottery, Korean calligraphy, poetry, pretty handwriting POP, folk painting, straw craft, and quilting, showcasing the skills they had honed over the year.


Kim Seong-gu, chairman of the Gijang-gun Resident Autonomy Committee Council, said, "I hope this event, prepared as a place for communication and harmony, will be a valuable opportunity to strengthen the capabilities of the resident autonomy centers and revitalize the local community."


County Governor Jeong Jong-bok expressed his gratitude to the students and instructors who prepared the exhibition and presentation, saying, "We will continue to actively support so that many residents can enjoy various cultural lives."


The resident autonomy committees of the five eup and myeon in Gijang-gun plan to discover and operate various programs reflecting the demands and needs of local residents next year as well.
