2024 Organizational Restructuring and Executive Appointments
SK Energy Integrates Under CIC System
SK Innovation has appointed Park Sang-gyu, President of SK Enmove, as the new President and CEO of SK Innovation, along with the appointment of six presidents and nine new executives.
SK Innovation stated, "SK Innovation and its seven subsidiaries have carried out organizational restructuring and executive appointments for 2024, focusing on preparing for an uncertain management environment and enhancing synergy among organizations through personnel renewal."
SK Innovation appointed Park Sang-gyu, currently President of SK Enmove, as the new President and CEO. Park is recognized for his strategic planning capabilities and hands-on business acumen, based on diverse business experiences within the group. He is expected to contribute to strengthening internal stability and generating performance for sustainable growth amid an uncertain management environment.
Park joined SK Innovation’s predecessor, Yukong, in 1987 and has held key positions such as Head of SK Energy’s Retail Strategy Team, Executive at SK Corporation’s Investment Company Management Office, Head of SK Corporation’s Retail Marketing Division, and General Manager of SK Networks Hotels. From 2017 until last year, he served as President of SK Networks and this year as President of SK Enmove.
Oh Jong-hoon, Head of SK Energy P&M (Platform & Marketing) CIC (Company In Company), was appointed as the new President of SK Energy. Oh has held positions including Executive at SK Corporation Portfolio Management and Head of SK Energy’s BM Innovation Headquarters. With his extensive experience and capabilities in energy marketing, he is expected to contribute to strengthening SK Energy’s competitiveness.
Lee Seok-hee, former CEO of SK Hynix, was newly appointed as President of SK On. Lee has worked at Intel, served as a professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at KAIST, and held roles such as Head of DRAM Development Division and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at SK Hynix. Having received the ‘Intel Technology Award’ three times, he is regarded as the ideal expert in global manufacturing to evolve SK On into a cutting-edge, technology-focused global top-tier battery company.

Kim Won-ki, Head of SK Enmove’s Green Growth Headquarters, was appointed as the new President of SK Enmove. Having served as Head of the Amsterdam Corporation and Head of Base Oil Marketing, Kim is expected to contribute to tangible green business performance at SK Enmove based on his expertise across the lubricants business.
Jang Ho-joon, Head of SK Energy’s Solutions & Platform (S&P) Promotion Team, was nominated as the new President of SK Trading International. Jang is expected to lead the growth of SK Trading International based on his strategic planning capabilities accumulated through diverse business experiences.
No Sang-gu, Head of SK Energy’s Strategic Operations Headquarters, was appointed as the new President of SK Incheon Petrochem. No has held key roles in production support and operational optimization. With his broad knowledge and experience in the petrochemical business, he is expected to lead innovation at SK Incheon Petrochem.

Through this organizational restructuring, SK Innovation plans to form a streamlined organization as a mid-tier holding company and strengthen management functions. To this end, it will create a Strategy and Finance division that integrates key management functions such as strategy, performance, and finance, enhancing expertise.
Business subsidiaries will establish a swift decision-making system and strengthen accountability for the financial story business performance currently underway. SK Energy will integrate the CIC system and establish a Strategy Headquarters to enhance execution capabilities for achieving goals.
SK Geocentric and SK Enmove have strengthened dedicated systems to generate tangible results from the commercialization stages of the Ulsan ARC (Advanced Recycling Cluster) and e-Fluids projects. SK On has reorganized its structure focusing on strengthening manufacturing and research & development (R&D) competitiveness and expanding profitability. SK IE Technology has newly established a Marketing Headquarters to sophisticate marketing strategies by region and customer.
An SK Innovation official said, “This year, we conducted organizational restructuring and executive appointments focusing on crisis response to prepare for an uncertain management environment. Through this restructuring, we will do our best to strengthen fundamental competitiveness and enhance the execution of our financial story.”
