Goryeong-gun Women's Association Council Conducts Love Kimchi-Making Volunteer Service at Daechang Nursing Home

The Goryeong-gun Women's Association Council (President Kim Young-ja) visited Daechang Nursing Home, a senior welfare facility located in Ssangnim-myeon, from December 4 to December 6 for three days to carry out kimchi-making volunteer work to help the elderly residents have a warm winter.

About 80 members from 16 women's organizations affiliated with the Goryeong-gun Women's Association Council participated in this kimchi-making volunteer activity, preparing kimchi with 500 heads of napa cabbage.

The Goryeong-gun Women's Association Council was established to contribute to the mutual development of local women's organizations and the improvement of women's status, as well as to national development projects and community development initiatives. In the Goryeong area, it has played the role of a practitioner of love by conducting various volunteer activities throughout the year for marginalized and needy neighbors, such as delivering side dishes, providing beauty services, preparing birthday meals for elderly living alone, and making traditional Korean food with marriage immigrant women.

County Governor Lee Nam-chul expressed his gratitude to the members of the Goryeong-gun Women's Association Council for their continuous participation in volunteer and neighbor-helping activities with a loving heart for their neighbors, and urged them to continue working together to create a warm society.
