BBQ Village Songridan-gil Branch opened on December 6 last year near Seoul’s Seokchon Lake in Songridan-gil, aiming to break away from the conventional image of chicken restaurants and provide customers with diverse experiences.
BBQ Village Songridan-gil Branch is a crossover store that offers about 190 menu items including brunch, bakery, and wood-fired pizza in addition to chicken to meet various customer needs. Brunch menus including bread, salad, and coffee are popular alongside main dishes such as wood-fired pizza, pasta, chicken, and hamburgers. The interior, reminiscent of a Broadway theater and described as “Instagrammable,” has attracted attention from a wide range of consumers including the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), according to the company.
Beyond being a dining space, the store has also attempted to expand customer experiences by combining cultural content such as music and video. In January, it collaborated with the music channel “Dingo Freestyle” to hold the “New Year Meet BBQ Mini Concert” featuring artists like Heize, Jus2dis, Skull, and Koonta.
Even after operating for a year, it has established itself as a hot place in Songridan-gil, with customers receiving waiting numbers during weekend evenings. Based on this popularity, more than 20 events have been held through venue rentals for embassies, companies, groups, and foreign tourist groups, and inquiries for year-end event rentals are increasing.
A BBQ representative said, “BBQ Village is a complex dining and cultural space prepared to communicate with more customers,” adding, “We will continue to strive to provide not only healthy and delicious food but also a space that delights the eyes and ears with diverse experiences.”
