[Breaking] New York Stock Market Slightly Lower Awaiting Employment Report

The three major indices of the U.S. New York Stock Exchange closed slightly lower on the 6th (local time) despite private employment data falling short of expectations, as investors awaited the employment report to be released later in the week.

On this day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.19% from the previous session. The large-cap-focused S&P 500 index fell 0.39%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq index declined 0.58%.

The following day, weekly unemployment claims will be released, and on the 8th, the Labor Department's November nonfarm payroll report is scheduled to be published.
