On the 6th at 3 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 2nd Nowon Youth Art Fair ‘LOLOLO (You and Me, Nowon)’ held in the lobby of Nowon District Office in Seoul.
The district organized this event to help local young artists showcase their works to the public and facilitate sales, while providing residents with an opportunity to experience and communicate with the younger generation’s artworks.
The 2nd Nowon Youth Art Fair ‘LOLOLO (You and Me, Nowon)’ will be held for three days from Thursday the 7th to Saturday the 9th, from 9 AM to 6 PM in the first-floor lobby of Nowon District Office. However, purchases on the 9th (Saturday) will be available starting from 11 AM.
A total of 49 teams will participate, presenting 102 works. In October, the district announced a call for participating artists and received 300 works from 113 teams in various physical forms eligible for sale, including paintings, prints, photographs, and sculptures. As a result, with a competition rate of 6:1, 42 works from 19 selected teams were chosen.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, “The second youth art fair has been separated from the youth festival to be presented more professionally. We ask for much interest and support for young artists, and we will continue to do our best to foster the local youth cultural and artistic ecosystem.”
